Terms and Conditions

1.     Payment Terms

          1.1.  A booking confirmation will only be sent when the deposit has been received

          1.2.  A deposit of £100 or 10% of the gross price if the invoice more than £1000 must be paid per person upon booking.

          1.3.  Payment by credit card incurs an extra charge of 3.33%.

          1.4.  Full payment is due 4 weeks before the course start date.

          1.5.  Payments by bank transfer must include a £40 bank transfer charge, which covers bank charges.

          1.6.  Bank details are provided on the invoice.

          1.7.  Exam costs are not included in the course price.

          1.8.  Students are responsible for paying for their own exam fees.

 

2.     Refunds and Cancellation Fees

          2.1.  Written notification of cancellation, by email, must be submitted in order to provide refunds.

          2.2.  All refunds are made to the original fee payer, minus the deposit.

          2.3.  If E&S-H cancels tuition after a student’s enrolment, a full refund, of any payments given, will be made.

 

3.     Visas

          3.1.  English Schools Or Universities

                    3.1.1.  A deposit must be received prior to any visa documents being issued.

                    3.1.2.  If the documents are to be couriered, a £70.00 charge applies.

                    3.1.3.  If the visa is rejected, the courier charges and deposit are non-refundable.

          3.2.  Professional Training Workshops

                    3.2.1.  The Participants must Sign and Fingerprint the waiver Document for his / her supporting visa document.

                    3.2.2.  A deposit must be received prior to any Supporting visa documents being issued.

                    3.2.3.  If the documents are to be couriered, a £70.00 charge applies.

                    3.2.4.  If the visa is rejected, the courier charges and deposit are non-refundable.

 

4.     Cancellation:

          4.1.  One week Accommodation and Tuition in addition to non-refundable charges (above) will apply if we receive written evidence of visa rejection less than 7 days before arriving date.

          4.2.  Should the arrival day be postponed due to delayed visa applications, E&S-H cannot guarantee the original Accommodation requests.

          4.3.  E&S-H cannot be held responsible for decisions taken by embassies or UK immigration.

          4.4.  For Visa consultations, please contact your embassy.

          4.5.  E&S-H cannot provide advice on how to obtain a visa.

          4.6.  In the case that a visa regulation is broken, and a visa revoked, E&S-H will not refund monies for accommodation or tuition.

 

5.     Accommodation Cancellation Before of Arrival

          5.1.  E&S-H Accommodation: Students cancelling less than 14 days before arrival will be charged one week’s accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate and the accommodation placement fee.

          5.2.  Non-E&S-H accommodation (i.e. accommodation contracted by E&S-H through external suppliers) have different cancellation terms. Self-catering student accommodation booked through E&S-H reservations must

                    be cancelled 30 days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee, which may amount to the full stay charge. For this reason, we remind you that in cases of hotel or self-catering apartment bookings, payment in full

                    is expected 30 days before arrival.

 

6.     Accommodation Cancellation After Arrival

          6.1.  Students leaving their accommodation should give a minimum of one-week notice.

          6.2.  After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs.

          6.3.  Please note:

                    6.3.1.  Certain accommodation options may be subject to cancellation charges. Students will be notified at the time of cancellation.

 

7.     Cancellation

          7.1.  Students cancelling 14 days or less before the course or accommodation start date (whichever comes first), or students who have had their visa application rejected, E&S-H will refund fees received in full less non-refundable charges (deposit, courier fees and student insurance fees).

          7.2.  Course cancellation or reducing number of weeks, Tuition fees are not refundable.

          7.3.  Students must advise E&S-H one week before finishing the course at the latest.

          7.4.  Credit notes are offered that must be used within 12 months of departure.

 

8.     Enrolment

          8.1.  E&S-H reserves the right to charge an administration fee each time the course, accommodation or centre is changed or postponed after E&S-H has confirmed the initial enrolment.

 

9.     Holidays

          9.1.  Apart from statutory holidays, holidays can only be taken if your course is a minimum of 12 weeks and in accordance with visa restrictions.

 

10. Public Holidays

          10.1.                   All E&S-H Schools Partners are closed on Public Holidays. Centres do not make up for lessons missed on these dates.

          10.2.                   Exceptions are made for One-to-One lessons, and Professional Educational Programmes, which will be made up. There is no refund for lessons missed.

 

11. Christmas

          11.1.                   Most Language Schools will be closed from

                    11.1.1.                      22 / December to 02 / January

 

12. Changing Courses

          12.1.                   E&S-H reserves the right to move adult lessons to the afternoon during July and August.

          12.2.                   E&S-H partners schools reserve the right to reduce the number of hours or length of the course due to student numbers, this may apply if there are less than 5 students enrolled on a course.

          12.3.                   E&S-H Partners Schools reserve the right to combine similar course levels due to student numbers.

 

13. Re-issuing Certificates

          13.1.                   E&S-H Partners Schools reserves the right to charge £30 to re-issue lost or damaged certificates.

 

14. English Level

          14.1.                   Students will be given a level test on the first day of school and will be placed into a suitable class level.

 

15. Transfers

          15.1.                   Flight details including arrival time, flight numbers, airline and point of origin must be given 7 days prior to arrival in order for E&S-H to arrange airport transfers.

          15.2.                   No refunds will be given on transfers if flight details are not sent to E&S-H 7 days prior to arrival.

          15.3.                   Airport transfer fees include a maximum of 1 hour waiting time.

          15.4.                   In the event of delays exceeding 1 hour, students will be charged the additional fee at the school.

 

16. Group Leaders

          16.1.                   Must sign a group leader agreement with our partner school, the group attending the course in.

          16.2.                   Required to send a police certificate of good behaviour.

          16.3.                   Required to attend an induction with the activity manager on their first day at our Partner schools if requested.

          16.4.                   Must be contactable at all times.

          16.5.                   Must be in school during break and lunch times.

 

17. Class Information

          17.1.                   Courses run from Monday to Friday and are scheduled in the morning and/or afternoon, Timetables cannot be guaranteed.

          17.2.                   General English classes may be held in the afternoons during peak season (July and August)

 

18. Accommodation

          18.1.                   Students arriving between 22.00 – 08.00 may be asked to book alternative accommodation in a hotel on their first night.

          18.2.                   Where possible, special dietary requirements will be accommodated. Availability and any applicable fees will be confirmed upon request.

          18.3.                   E&S-H may use carefully selected partners to house students with suitable homestay providers.

          18.4.                   E&S-H cannot accept students under the age of 18 in student residence in some cities (unless group booking agreed upon beforehand)

          18.5.                   No refunds are available for a booked student residence.

          18.6.                   No refunds are available for leaving a student residence.

          18.7.                   Changes to accommodation once booked and confirmed are subject to additional charges.

          18.8.                   E&S-H does not provide supervision for students aged 18 years and over. Students aged 16-17 enrolled on an adult course will not be supervised on their way to and from school or before and after classes.

 

19. Photographs And Videos age Less than 18 Years old.

          19.1.                   May only be taken by following the school’s safeguarding policy when signing up to a course.

          19.2.                   Students are asked to sign a photograph waiver form during their induction.

          19.3.                   It is the school’s right to use a photograph, unless otherwise noted, of the students in any educational or activity setting in online marketing, printed material and any other E&S-H related materials.

          19.4.                   All students / Participants attending Professional Educational Programmes are giving their approval in advance to Education and services Hub LTD to be used in our advertisement or brochure at the time of enrolment for any course. In case they don't want us to use their photos, they have to send an email stating so.

 

20. Expulsion

          20.1.                   E&S-H or any partner schools reserves the right to expel students for unacceptable or unlawful behaviour or lack of attendance.

          20.2.                   No refund will be given, and any unpaid fees become immediately payable.

          20.3.                   Repatriation is at student’s own expense.

          20.4.                   E&S-H require that students maintain a minimum attendance level of 85%.

 

21. Health Declaration

          21.1.           Partners agents and /or Students must report any mental or physical illness, allergy, disability or condition that may interfere with their ability to successfully complete their programme, impact the well-being of any other student or staff member, require monitoring, treatment or emergency intervention during the student’s period of enrolment, or that may require special accommodation.

          21.2.          E&S-H reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment if the students' participation represents a risk to their, other students or staff members’ health and safety, or if, notwithstanding reasonable accommodations, in the opinion of E&S-H, the student’s physical or mental condition makes the student unable to successfully complete their programme. Refunds are at the discretion of E&S-H.

 

22. Damage

          22.1.                   Partner Agent and / or Students must pay the full cost of any damage they cause to property.

          22.2.                   Damage deposits may apply to certain accommodation options.

          22.3.                   These are payable upon arrival, or the first day of Partner Schools or Accommodations.

 

23. Health Insurance

          23.1.                   Students must have adequate health, accident and travel insurance while attending any programme.

          23.2.                   Where proof is not available, students must immediately purchase at least one week’s insurance from E&S-H Partners.

          23.3.                   E&S-H reserves the right to claim this cost from uninsured students, and during this week students must purchase insurance for their entire stay.

          23.4.                   Uninsured students may not attend class until proof of insurance is available and will not be refunded for lost class time.

          23.5.                   Insurance is compulsory for students attending Shane English Schools.

 

24. Liability

          24.1.                   E&S-H and its staff and representatives will not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by law.

          24.2.                   E&S-H will not be liable in the event that any service contracted to be supplied by E&S-H becomes impossible to supply for any reason or any cause outside the control of E&S-H.

 

25. Force Majeure

          25.1.                   E&S-H will not be responsible for any failure to comply with any of its obligations (and therefore shall not be required to provide any compensation) if the failure is occasioned by any cause beyond E&S-H’s reasonable control.

          25.2.                   Nor shall E&S-H be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the student as a result of any such cause.

          25.3.                   Such causes shall include but shall not be limited to an act of government, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, unusually adverse weather conditions and infectious diseases.

 

26. Pricing and Accuracy

          26.1.                   Prices are valid for two weeks after an offer sent out to students or participants.

          26.2.                   Prices are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed upon invoicing.

 

27. Changes and Availability

          27.1.                   E&S-H reserve the right to change start time of any programme and course content, if necessary, without prior notice.

          27.2.                   The fees, dates and conditions, listed in this website and in our brochures, are subject to change at any time.

          27.3.                   Courses may not run if there are less than three students enrolled for a class / course.

 

28. Use of Photographs And Videos

          28.1.                   By participating in our events, individuals aged 18 and above grant permission for their photos and first names to be utilized in our promotional materials and on our website.

          28.2.                   This includes but is not limited to social media posts, newsletters and website content.

          28.3.                   We value your contribution to our community and seek to celebrate your involvement through showcasing the vibrant activities and participants.

          28.4.                   Rest assured, we handle your personal information with the utmost care and respect for your privacy.

          28.5.                   If you have any concerns or wish to opt out of this arrangement, please contact us directly. Thank you for being part of our community and for your understanding in this matter.

 

29. Terms and Conditions

          29.1.                   The current E&S-H Terms and Conditions supersede any previous Terms & Conditions that were applicable at the time of student’s / participant's booking.

          29.2.                   E&S-H Terms and Conditions are applicable to all students, group leaders and agents representing students and apply to all centres.

 

30. Data Protection Policy

          30.1.                   E&S-H follows the Data Protection Act of 1988.
